World Four

The Classical Music of India and Europe

We present two great classical music traditions, those of Europe and India.

  • In Europe, we take a trip through the centuries, beginning with the tenth century.
  • India has two classical traditions: one belonging to the northern part of the country and Pakistan, the other belonging to the southern part. Our emphasis is mostly on the northern tradition.
